TSCC RESISTANCE blog presents RANDOM RANTING pt.3

Tonight's rant will be about the wonderfully composed music in TSCC.
It was written and composed by Bear Mccreary who has also scored music on many other T.V. series such as Human target, Eureka, Battlestar galactica, and Caprica.

I think that the score of TSCC alone helped make it good. I also believe that background music can carry out a scene even if it has lame or bad acting.

There has also been a TSCC album released, and I suggest that if you don't own a copy yet you should go out and buy it RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! It contains all of Bear's score from the first season and the first two episodes of season 2.

Earlier today I watched the season 2 finale of TSCC twice (once with commentary/once without commentary).
The episode titled "BORN TO RUN" has the most interesting ending in terms of leaving it wide open for another season (or a DIRECT-TO-DVD MOVIE), or basically any continuation of some sort.
Now that John and Catherine Weaver have traveled to the year 2027 and Sarah and agent Ellison are still in 2009 the story has the opportunity to be split into two story lines which is what has happened in THE CONNOR WARS.
I have never been more disappointed with a television cancellation than with TSCC.

The fact that CJ CARTER has continued the storyline of TSCC with his new Connor wars scripts has given me hope for the SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES once more.

FOX canceling TSCC is the biggest mistake they have ever, and probably ever will make, and the global resistance of fans will one day prove it to them.

I have now finished reading the second script of THE CONNOR WARS season 3, titled "TEMPEST TOSSED" , and I am even more impressed with the storyline. The fact that Allison is beginning to trust John and have more faith in him is a very good thing due to the fact that John Connor may one day save humanity but he can't do that without a team of loyal resistance fighters who trust him, and Allison may be his closest friend in the future caused by his connection with Cameron. In the future the term "TRUST IS A MUST" is literally true.

Catherine Weaver is also helping John and may be his protector terminator from now on, now that Cameron's CPU is in the endoskeleton of John Henry (who I think is now Camenry), I guess I will have to read on and find out for sure.

Another thing that excited me about the script was that Sarah Connor who is still in the year 2009 is building a new team to fight KALIBA.
So far it consists mainly of:
Sarah Connor
James Ellison (former F.B.I. agent)
Daniel Aldridge (current F.B.I. agent)
Alejandra (former gang member)
Hows the irony in that combination?

I'm sure that the plot will unfold much more in the upcoming scripts I have yet to read, and that alone is enough motivation for me to read the remaining 26 scripts. And of course the fact that I am just a huge TSCC fan helps as well, as I would read just about any fanfic based on it, however TCW is by far the best I have found.

THE CONNOR WARS REVIEWS F0301

I have just finished reading the season 3 premiere script of THE CONNOR WARS titled "A THOUSAND MILES" and wanted to blog about how wonderfully written it is.

OK, first of all it picks up right where the season 2 finale of TSCC left off and immediately continues the primary story arc while not leaving out any important or minor sub-plots from the first two seasons. I was instantly sucked into the story and can't wait to read the second script.

However, the only thing I was surprised about at first was the character Allison Young's personality and attitude during the beginning of the script, but I soon came to realize that her bad-ass soldier attitude was obviously and completely reasonable for the character because I keep forgetting that this is Allison the Resistance fighter that we are dealing with and not Cameron the protector terminator of John Connor.

Overall, I think that CJ CARTER (the writer of TCW) deserves a BIG round of applause for writing the most entertaining series of fanfic I have EVER READ!!!!!!!!!!!

TSCC PILOT TIMELINE

I have recently watched the pilot episode of TSCC (probably for the thousandth time) and memorized the timeline it follows.

AUGUST 24,1999
   WEST FORK, NEBRASKA
Sarah and John Connor leave Charley Dixon after he proposes to Sarah. They then return to there lives being on the run as wanted fugitives.

SEPTEMBER 6,1999
   RED VALLEY, NEW MEXICO
John starts school and meets a reprogrammed terminator named Cameron, who is posing as one of Johns classmates.

SEPTEMBER 7,1999
   RED VALLEY, NEW MEXICO
A terminator named Cromartie impersonates a substitute teacher and attempts to assassinate John. John is protected by Cameron.

SEPTEMBER 8,1999
   LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
John, Sarah, and Cameron drive to Terrisa Dyson's house to seek her help.

SEPTEMBER 9,1999
   LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
John, Sarah, and Cameron use time displacement equipment to travel to September 9,2007.

SEPTEMBER 9,2007
   LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
Sarah, John, and Cameron arrive from 1999 and decide to hunt Skynet and stop it from ever being created.

Reflections on cancellation

When the SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES was cancelled I felt like the entire fox network was worthless because they seem to cancel everything I watch such as FIREFLY, PRISON BREAK, DOLLHOUSE, and now TSCC. With only two seasons I feel like that story has just barely begun. FOX is stupid for cancelling it because I believe they still have a lot of money they could make from it. If they would at least continue the story even in the form of a DVD-MOVIE I guarantee that the fanbase would launch huge support campaigns to ensure that the film is successful. I also think that it should have been picked up by another network such as SYFY or maybe SHOWTIME, and the fact that it wasn't remains a mystery to me because those are networks that don't normaly get high ratings anyway so I figured that 3 to 6 million viewers per episode would help them a bit. Then again it also comes down to the production budget because I have heard that if it were picked up by a network such as SYFY there budget would not be able to afford the same actors such as Lena Heady, Thomas Dekker, Summer Glau, Brian Austin Green, etc. Now whether that is true I dont Know but what I do Know is that I will not give up hope for TSCC.

THE CONNOR WARS

Recently I have found a cool fanfic website called THE CONNOR WARS which continues the story after the season 2 finale of TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and includes a full 22-episode third season plus a 6-episode season 4 however if i didn't know it was fan-fiction I would have thought it was professionally written by the official writers of the TV series. That's how well-written it is!
